The ground comes from the master switch in the left door. 2.=red/white once i switch those two wires like your diagram where 1.= red/white 2.= red/blk. The wire at pin 3 will switch to battery power when the driver's switch is in the up position and the wire at pin 2 will switch to battery power when the driver's switch is in the down position.

If the rubber grommet is bad there, the wiring may have chafed. Problem is, previous owner replaced the drivers door with a manual window, so the switch is not there anymore.

All the wiring for driver’s and passenger’s windows runs through the master switch. The drivers panel is the master.

Brake wire (+) red/green at brake pedal switch. The next pin you will be checking is pin 8 and 10 for constant power from the battery.

Power window motor (driver’s side) switch the ignition to on.

Thank you for the wiring diagrams everything looks the same, except driver side passenger window switch 1.=red/blk. Also, rapidly move the rear window switch at the drivers position. The switch d1 which connect to under driver side dash board gets rusted, some wires are just ripped off, can you supply the wiring diagram?

If i live it 1.=red/blk.

Up/down/up/down, see if the window responds. Just count the black tab spaces on the passenger side and you'll know which two are the ones for the drivers side. Does anyone have a picture or a wring diagram that shows the pinouts for a driver's side rear power window switch for an '88 convertible?

Two contacts, one on either side of the power contact, are connected to the vehicle ground and to the motor. Or, knowing which wires on the harness plug to test for current while operating the switch would be helpful. Looks like the previous owner did some kind of creative repair job on it and the wiring is all kinds of screwed up.

Fyi, theses do not drive the windows from the drivers switch. 2008 2018 64l diesel engines 2011 2018 67l diesel engines new. Just wiring it up will not work.
